Frequently asked questions
How do I play TypeRunner with friends?
Create a room and copy the invite link to send to friends, who join by opening the link or entering the room code. Everyone types the same passage at once and the fastest finisher across all lanes wins the race.
How hard are the computer runners in TypeRunner?
Computer runners range from Easy up to Insane difficulty, each typing at a different fixed words per minute pace. You can fill empty lanes with one or more computer runners if no friends have joined yet.
Can I play TypeRunner alone, and does it save my best run?
Yes, solo mode lets you race against computer runners or a ghost replay of your fastest previous run without needing a room. Your personal best run is saved on the device so the ghost always reflects your top performance.
What do I see while racing in TypeRunner?
Every lane shows its live words per minute as the race runs, plus sound effects on key moments and a speed chart once the race ends. The lane that finishes the shared passage first wins that race.
